I love messing around with computers, and have a degree
in Computer Science from the University
of Utah. Since I'm a stay-at-home Mom, I have enjoyed the
ability to make a little extra money by doing web development from home.
I love to do all technical stuff with
web sites (apache and linux configuration, writing scripts, interfacing with
payment gateways, etc), and can also do the design part too (with a little help from templates or someone else's artistic vision.)
Here are a few sites that I have been working on:
www.wholewatermelon.com.
- I used a free template (see the Tamuril Art image
to your right) to create this site.
www.sarahmayphoto.com
- I created this web site for my wonderful sister-in-law, Sarah.
I heavily modified a couple of free scripts, but mostly custom-built this site from scratch. She envisioned the site, and I coded her vision.
www.midvaletag.org
- I am the web designer and also the Grant Administrator
for this group. I used a free template (credit is given
at the bottom of it's page) to create the site.
www.midvalecity.info
- I am a consultant for this web site. I have done very little
of the graphic design, layout, or anything that you
see on the web site. I'm in charge of all the back
end work for the site, including configuring the Apache
server, setting up accounts, making scripts work for
forms and online payment , and anything else that is
deemed "hard" by the official web designers.
Here are a couple of small projects I was completely in charge of:
The Registration for a Football Combine. I wrote the registration form, scripts to process the information, and interface with Authorize.net to collect payment. All the information gathered is stored in an excel spreadsheet.
If you are interested in getting a web site set up,
feel free to contact me at kristen@wholewatermelon.com
for more information about my rates (they're quite
reasonable).
